The Tax Day Coffee Party is a movement for extremely limited government and low taxes. It started out as a protest against the Republicans taking part in the Unity coalition, when they had a majority against the two center-left parties. The party ensures, according to interior spokesman Rand Faul "that [Cobura] doesn't become a part of the massive liberal-communist experiment lead by the Progressives and the DLP".
