Description[?]:
The Traditionalist Conservative Party, better known as the Plaid Geidwadol Traddodiadol in Draddog, Traditionalist Konservativen Partei in Dundorfian, and Partit Conservador Tradicionalista in Sildarian, strives to preserve the traditional cultures, values, and institutions that make up Aloria. Ultimately, the Traditionalist Conservatives are pluralistic in nature, keeping up that part of Aloria's history. Intellectuals, landed individuals, and the middle class make up a large portion of the party due to its seemingly third way stance on economics, believing that while capitalism is good, the state should work to improve its economy for the sake of the population. Socially, the Traditionalist Conservatives range from more centrist to reactionary views on society. However, they posit that any sort of change should be slow and based in prudence, rather than short term benefits. Hosianism is central to the party. Overall, the Traditionalist Conservatives put the long term interests of the nation first and are not afraid to lose elections in order to achieve Aloria's benefit. The party is rumored to be funded by many claimants to old titles of nobility, including Aneirin ap Rhys, King of Kurmal, Lord of Craigtref, Knight of the Order of the Lion, Patriarch of the House of Urien (Loer/Aloria). |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "Without opposition there is no politics." - Alun Daffys, former Alorian politician |
