| The Partei des Demokratik Merkantilist represents the voice of the people who desire a humane society focused on human need. We do not seek a violent overthrow of the government, but a peaceful route through political and electoral change. Our Platform: We support an economy that does not produces things solely off of profit but for human need. We also support an economy that puts more power into the hands of the workers and consumers. We support free universal healthcare and education at all levels. We also support giving students the right to have a say in the decision making of their schools/university and the academic curriculum of a region and the nation. We oppose free trade and support fair trade and protectionist policies. We oppose the death penalty and support reforming the prisons to focus more on rehabilitation and treating inmates humanely. We oppose the creation of any high CO2 emitting power plants and industries. We support nuclear power and strongly oppose nuclear weapons. We also support research into nuclear fusion both hot and cold. We believe every person is entitled to equal rights under the law regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, sexual identity, nationality, or organizational affiliations. |
