Description[?]:
Founded in 3784 in the Mordorstad-Muronia region of Davostan, the National Republican Front (NRF) is a right-leaning party dedicated to the principles of conservative social values, republican governance, and capital-focused economic policies. The NRF has officially declared itself to the present government in Davostan (the Social Democratic Union) within the House of the Republic. It currently maintains a militia, the Davostani National Vanguard (DNV). In August of 3787, the NRF underwent a radical shift after leadership could not agree on a united course of action in response to the failure of a vote of no confidence in House of the Republic. Members of both the nationalist and democratic factions initiated and formed the Davostani National Vanguard (DNV), the new military wing (militia) of the party. Jacques Fournier, leader of the Nationalists and General Secretary of the Front, spearheaded the uprisings in the city of Muronia. Calling for the creation of the Free State of Davostan, protected by the newly-formed DNV, Fournier has stated that he will not relent in protecting the Davostani nation until the Social Democratic Union is out of power. Official governance has not yet been declared, but all indications point towards Fournier leading the autonomous republic as well as coordinating imilitary efforts against the current government of the Davostan Democratic Republic. The Republican faction, led by Pascal Ingham, has maintained their representation in the House of the Republic, however, they have neither supported nor condemned the actions of their fellow party members. William Bailey Granfeld, president of the NRF, has not released any comments on the actions of militant members of the party, but has expressed a call for change in government on many occasions. *** What we stand for: The National Republican Front believes foremost that Davostan can no longer be ruled by a Monarch, ceremonial or otherwise. The party believes governments of the nation should not intervene in the market and that people should have their individual rights, including the right to private property. The Front also believes that all governance should be limited to will of the Nation, but that the people should be protected by a robust military, to protect the homeland, Davostan, and project Republican ideals abroad and secure national interests. *** Factions: Nationalist Faction (far right) - Jacques Fournier Republican Faction (party establishment) - Pascal Ingham Democratic (Centre-right) Faction - Fran Quincy Byrd *** Presidents of the Party: William Bailey Granfeld (3784 - 3788) Serge Brodeur (3788 - present) Head(s) of State: n/a Head(s) of Government: Jacques Fournier, interim premier of the Free State of Davostan (Jan 3788 - April 3788) Governor(s): Lesley Shelby Watkins, interim governor of the Province of Muronia (Jan 3788 - Apr 3788); governor of the Province of Muronia, FSD (Apr 3788 - present) *** Serge Brodeur - President of the National Republican Front Herb Martinson - Vice-President of the National Republican Front Jacques Fournier - General Secretary of the National Republican Front Julen Aiza - Marshal of the Davostani National Vanguard |
