The 自由進歩党, or Liberal Progressive Party, was established by a prominent human rights activist and lawyer Miyako Hayashi in May 4052, with a hope of making a substantive difference in the Sekowo political scene, along with a broad coalition of industrialists, intellectuals and student activists. The party was founded with a broad, big-tent platform emphasising ethnic and gender equality, cultural acceptance, an innovative economic system and an all-encompassing social welfare safety net for all citizens.
