Free Democratic Union-Luthorian Leader:-Thelma Schneider The Free Democratic Union was formed in the year 4455 by Thelma Schneider The Party Staunchly Supports the Model of "Social Market Economy"(Soziale Marktwirtschaft) and Supports Economic Liberalisation but together with a Strong Welfare State.It believes in the Free Fixation of Prices by Market Forces and Reduced Regulations on Businesses but Favours Investing into Social Services such as Healthcare,Education and also Favours Higher Infrastructure Investment. Key Party Policies:- *Reduction of Personal And Corporate Taxes *Long Term Goal of Introducing Flat Taxes *Scaling back Regulations on Businesses and Spur Entrepreneurship *Focus on Reducing Government Involvement in the Economy *Support Public Provision of Healthcare and Education *Ensure Continued State Subsidisation of Tuition Fees *Respecting and Protecting the Liberty of All Dorvikians and at the same time Applying Government Intervention to Ensure Decency *Free Movement Of Goods and Services Should be Encouraged and Barriers on International Trade Should be Reduced *Dorvish Unity Must be Preserved,Oppose Independence for Sudik *Greater Regulations on Private Medical Practices *Establishing Mandatory Public Pension System with a Private Option *Providing Greater Welfare Benefits to Single Parents. Support for the Conservative Party Has been Particularly Higher Among Urban,Well Educated Voters and has emerged as a Preferred party for Entrepreneurs for its Pro-Business Policies. The Party Proposes the Simplification of Tax Laws into two Brackets,A Tax Rate of 5% For those Earning between 5,000 and 40,000 DDO and A Tax Rate of 25% For those earning More than 40,000 DDO.The Party Also Supports the Reduction of Corporate Taxes to 10% and Luxury Taxes to 12% Headquarters:-Haldor, Kordusia Position:-Centre-Centre Right Ideology:-Liberal Conservatism,Social Conservatism,Economic Liberalism,Classic Liberalism The Factions of the Party:- Liberal Conservatives;-The Most Dominant Faction of the Conservative Party,They Are Considered to be the Centre of the Party,Liberal Conservatives Advocate Minimal Role of the Government in the economy and believe in lessened taxes,But Liberal Conservatives differ from the Classic Liberals and believe in the protection of social institutions and upholding law and order,They tend to incorporate certain socially liberal positions[i.e.on the environment]with more conservative positions[on Abortion]They Tend to favour maintaining Existing Welfare Programs but believe in streamlining them and providing the Private sector a Greater Role in the Economy and favour removing regulations on businesses. Social Conservatives:-Social Conservatives form the Right wing of the party,Social Conservatives believe in a Law and Order First Approach and favour the death penalty and increased police powers,They also support increased defence spending.Social Conservatives support limiting the number of refugees admitted to Dorvik and support the Deportation of Illegal Immigrants.The Social Conservatives are generally split on the Economy,Many Social Conservatives tend to favour increased welfare spending and support Government Regulations on Businesses and are also supportive of Trade Union Rights.The Social Conservatives also Favour Sone Degree of Economic Protectionism and are more skeptical of Free Trade.Deputy Leader Mark Schauble is a Social Conservative Classic Liberals:- The Classic Liberals tend to form the Left Wing Of the Conservatives,They Favour The Protection of Civil Liberties and are in favour of lessened government intervention in both the economic and Social Spheres,They tend to Be More Favourable to Immigration and Many Classic Liberals are from Visible minorities and Classic Liberals tend to constitute the Urban Wing of the Party and is equally powerful in terms of strength with the Social Conservatives.
