OVERVIEW: The Humanist Party is a relatively new movement, composed more of the younger generations of Yongdala. It has its roots in college activism and local political organizing and seeks to further refine the policies of Yongdala towards inclusion, fairness, and equality. PLATFORM: The Humanist Party promotes: - Equal pay between men and women - Free trade between nations to promote global prosperity - Social justice and equality for minorities - Government subsidized healthcare, childcare, education, and pensions - Free access to necessities such as water, sanitization, Internet, and telephones - Labor rights - Ecologically sustainable development - Free market principles HISTORY: The Humanist Party is in its infancy, but it has proposed a series of bills centered around regulating pornography and prostitution to ensure the health of those involved, making modern necessities such as Internet and telecommunications available to all, and democratizing local elections. |
