Description[?]:
The Luthori Labour Party is a social democratic, or democratic socialist party with more traditional moral policies in line with Luthorian traditions and religion. Although more economically leftist than the Social-Democratic Coalition, the Labour Party tends to be fairly patriotic Party Logos 4195-4205: http://imgur.com/cXpgZ0o 4205-4206 (changed to add Luthorians United Coalition symbol: http://imgur.com/grDsk8v 4206-present: http://imgur.com/cXpgZ0o (restored after Party of Patriots betrayal) HISTORY The Labour Party of Luthori was founded in 4195 in order to promote social-democratic politics in Luthori, after the fall of the Social Democratic League. But the Labour Party of Luthori went down a different route, led by Augustus Penrose, the Earl of Louth, the party organizing committee was able to court prominent upper class social liberals and left idealists alongside the trade unionist and working class mass of membership, which was quite unprecedented in Luthorian politics FACTIONS •Hosian Socialists: 31% of party The Hosian Socialists fall in line with Luthori Church social teachings. They tend to be morally traditionalist. The Hosian Socialists are largely a mirror of the old Hosian Socialist Party, which had a profound influence on Luthorian politics. •Louthites: 45% of Party Faction supporting the popular Earl of Louth, Augustus Penrose. They believe in harmonizing more conservative social positions with typical social-democratic policies including support for trade unions, worker-centered rhetoric, and a mild welfare state. •Labour Alternative: 17% of party Tends to be more social liberals, but most high profile members espouse third way social democratic ideas. They tend to be less patriotic than the other factions, but they are still monarchists and tend to be relatively traditional on religious and moral issues, although they don't make a stink about it. •Socialist Caucus: 7% of party A small minority of the party now. They tend to be democratic socialists and metzists. However, many left during the schism in 4201 to join the "Progression" movement. Many of the members of this faction are nevertheless Monarchists, but some are Republicans. They often align more with the Progression stance than the official Luthori Labour Party position.
