Description[?]:
Kundrati: Koalizio Nazionaleko Alderdia Selucian: Morsus Patria Natus Luthori: National Coalition Party =Background= In February 4344 a number of Kundrati politicians from across the political spectrum horrified at the advent of a Communist dictatorship in neighbouring Dundorf and the lack of a response from the Kundrati government met at a conference in the Kundrati capital Kasaema. At a second conference in March 4344 it was agreed to form a new political party, the National Coalition, to apply pressure on the governing Union for a Popular Movement to take a more robust stance with Dundorf. This in itself was a momentous event as the UMP had been the only party to contest national elections since February 4325. The party's raison d'etre is Anti-Communism and this unites the various organisations and politicians that came together to form the National Coalition. =International Party Organisations= In September 4344 the National Coalition was a founder member of the Northern Artanian Security Organisation (NASO) - http://classic.particracy.net/vieworganization.php?organizationid=4853 - with the aim of enhancing security across the continent. The first Secretary General was Gergori Aramaio a leading defence analyst and a member of the National Coalition. =Policies= At initial meetings a common platform was agreed on defence policy with the aim of increasing spending on defence and the general alertness of the armed forces. Additionally policies were proposed to support refugees fleeing Dundorf. On economic and social matters the party is still developing policy, although its support from elected officials has largely been drawn from the right of the Union for a Popular Movement. It is likely that the National Coalition will be broadly rightist on economic and social matters. In October 4344 at a Party Congress it was agreed to fight the forthcoming Senate and Consular elections on a centrist platform, highlighting the parties Anti-Communism and hawkish defence policies. The party committed itself to creating a welfare state, a mixed economy and to reforming laws on refugees. =Factions= The National Coalition has members from across the political spectrum and as such there are factions within the party that could be loosely termed as far-right, while also have centre-left politicians. Broadly most supporters are centre to centre-right. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
