The Hosian Democratic Union has a history of fascism, imperialism, and populism. The HDU is now a big tent conservative party centered around national/paternal conservatism. Its current leader is the Hosian Unionist chairman Viktor Blitzer. The party is anti-communist and anti-socialist and strongly supports the institution of the commonwealth.
