Description[?]:
Platform for Liberty and Fairness is a far left radical syndicalist party, with intent to bring a bottom to top approach to politics, with local Peoples' Councils established to give a voice to all workers, students, minority groups such as women or LGBT community, while upping a system that emphasizes fairness, equity and equality among other things. The party is newly created, in March 5086, several major trade unions have united under one labour banner and founded the new party , with clear intention to not only unite, but as well give a voice to trade unions. Soon after, socialists alike, fleeing from the decaying socialist alternative, as well intellectuals and important renowned philosophers have joined in. Some Lodamese philosophers and anarchists have also joined among the party factions, which prompted some sharp contrasts between the two wings. Foreign experts from Providence expect a surge in philosophical thought in Dolgava, but as well possible emergence of an intellectual led tyranny and corruption, similar to Lodamese academia that had been hijacked by socialists for decades at once. For the party, the many factions meet once per year to decide their party leaders, formed of a small council of 11 people, 3 academics, 3 workers, 3 minorities, ranging from racial, to sexual and religious minorities, as well two men standing as simple poor citizens. This Council has the role to oversee decisions, set party platform and plan for economy at large. The party is small still, with only 10.254 members registered so far, with most of them concentrated in industrial areas or Aikums. Despite efforts to appeal to the rural masses, the party has failed to rally around farmers, as such, the party is known to be very pro-industrialization, shorter shifts, a living wage, automatization and urbanization. Among party members, old vanguard of socialists from Lodamun have also been spotted, with intriguing yet possible dangerous ideas, radical ascetics, pagans of all kinds and heretical Hosians made their way through the ranks of PLF. ----------------------------------------------------- Party Performance: Years in cabinet - - ----------------------------------------------------- The PBG believes in: 1) Replacement of welfare with living wages and right to basic necessities, by all who work, believing firmly that welfare as it is has not only failed to address severe issues caused by capitalism, but it is mere an attempt to stifle real change and buy the masses, by offering them the illusion of change and feeding them enough to work again. 2) To enact this, the PLF believes that strong industrialization and automation will lead to prosperity for all. But will not this destroy the economy or leave more jobless? Coupled with these, raising the wages and cutting the working hours we can make more , but shorter shifts, increase employment, but as well productivity. Automation does not need to come at the price of peoples' jobs! 3) To ensure all of this goes as planned, PLF rejects Medzism and other socialists orienting after yearly plans, but instead favoring decentralization, independence and fiscal responsibility among cooperatives and state owned companies and in digitalization as source of easing out the bureaucratic mess and grow an efficient modern public sector. 4) Workers have right to a roof above their heads, food on their tables, drinkable SAFE water, modern wages and working conditions, as well electricity or heat. All of this shall not be at the hands of corporations and profiteering schemers, but rather be held in the hands of the people, through local council management and free of charge access to basic utilities such as water or food. 5) To provide people with these goods, the currency shall be reformed in such way that it only applies to luxury items. Any government led exploitation of natural resources, any government projects will be free of charge in terms of acquiring resources if these are already existing in the nation, with only payments in cash needed being toward laborers to provide access to luxury items for them and to foreign importers. 6) Ensuring a stable fiscally responsible nation, we plan to offer a tax rate on income, alongside wage and wealth caps, all adjusted with inflation, to ensure that not only fiscal responsibility is secured, but via taxation we can provide the necessary cash for paying workers and funding government projects. A progressive tax is ideal. 7) To ensure that our exploitation of Dolgavian resources does not come at the price of nature, but neither at the price of our economic growth, as such, we shall expand our international trade to acquire necessary resources when necessary, ban trash depositories, be them bought land by foreign dumping companies, or be own dumps, we shall ensure that no waste depositoires exist in Dolgavia. Alongside this, investment in green energy and nationalization of all energy industry and resources such as oil shall commence, for with this we can ensure that green technology is invested in and people will not die from polluted air or water. 8) Market regulations will exist to enforce collectivization of all industrial amenities, to ensure fairness at the workplace, expansion of democracy and de-alienation of the working people, preventing as such the lack of community and strong solidarity, to ensure that workers have right to what they create, through decentralization efforts and generous government funds to provide for cooperatives as start up programs. 9) Quotas to ensure equity among differing people will be implemented, with help greater for immigrants, for racial and religious minorities, LGBT community or women, to cut down on historical discrepancies fueled by bigotry. Furthermore, Dolgavia shall be a fledgling democratic and secular state. 10) The form of government opted for shall be a Republic, however to mend over the glaring issues raising in society and give people a voice, local direct democracy , referendas and trade union reserved spots in the Parliament shall exist. The ultimate goal is the abolishment of Presidency and Monarchy, in favor of a stronger Parliament, which in ideal terms, will be made up of minority groups, trade unions and local Peoples' Councils. |

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand |
