| The Green Union was founded in 2445(-ish) by Thomas Katt, with the protection of Talmorian nature as it's main goal. The party also took a permissive stance in rivil rights issues, a pacifist stance in all matters military, and gave strong support to a centralized goverment. Even before the party managed to gain any seats in the Grand Council, it managed to propose multiple laws improving the state of the national ecology. After it's second elections, the party became a cabinet member. However, the fascist stance taken by other cabinet member parties force the Union to leave the cabinet, and the GU ministers were forced to resign from the party. After this leadership position in the party was gained by Damo Cotollus and his followers, who propagated that the only way to ensure the environment stays pristine is bandonment of the capitalist system and establishment of a nationalised economy committed to environmental protection. How strongly the party plans to enforce this ideology remains to be seen. |
