Message | We have these laws to prevent irresponsible owners from abusing animals and to make sure that animals are kept under control (so to speak), this law would undo a lot of the hard work that the anti animal crueltry groups do in protecting animals by making it hard to check up on these animals. We hope that again common sense prevails. |

Message | The NCP fails to see how having a record of whom owes which animals prevent animal cruelty. Surely it would be more effective if the money spent on registering animals and maintaining that register could be spent on actively searching out animal cruelty and preventing. |
