Bill: Laissez-Faire Act of 2360
Details
Submitted by[?]: Moderate Republican Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2362
Description[?]:
Currently, the govenment owns all major industries, and individuals are only allowed to operate small industries. This proposal implements a laissez-faire economy by allowing private ownership of all industries. This creates many privately-owned corporations instead of one large state owned corporation, and it provides numerous advantages for workers and consumers. Privately owned industries will compete against each other creating more good-paying jobs, which will boost Jakania's economy. Consumers will benefit from lower, more affordable prices on goods. This proposal allows the govenment to intervene as an investor of last resort by taking over vital industries during times of severe emergency. |
