Description[?]:

As of Election 2387, the Liberal Democratic Party is the Minority Party, or a smaller party with less power in the nation than other parties. We are the 6th most powerful party out of eight. However, we control the Supreme Governorship which launches us to the most powerful executive seat a party can obtain. We pride ourselves for being the second most liberal party in the United Jakania.

The National Liberal Democratic Party is a political organization dedicated to key rights of the people.

The National Liberal Democratic Party's political platform ideologies are that of seperation of church and state, freedom of speech, peace, progress for the sake of humanity, pro-environmentalism and civil liberties for all.

The National Liberal Democratic Party is based on modern liberalism and American Liberalism and Gregorian Socialism. It is centered and structured around the modern Democratic Party of the United States of America and more often takes to the further left sides of issues than the more left-centrist ideals that the Democratic Party of the U.S. takes. The National Liberal Democratic Party has many different ideologies than the liberals of European bases.

Now that we currently hold the Supreme Governorship, we wish to see our party regain lost seats to a comfortable level. We wish the see the Anarchists lose seats to a record low as well.
____________________________________________________________________________________

The Liberal Democratic Party is a member and active party in the following alliances:

Second Alonian Alliance: Alliance between the United Democrats of Jakania and the Liberal Democratic Party.

Allied Protectors of the Supreme Council: Alliance of five members including the L.D.P., U.D.J., I.P., J.P.J., and R.P. to fight against harmful legislation in Jakania.

Liberal Coalition: Coalition of the most Liberal parties in the nation. Consists of the L.D.P., J.P.J., and the U.D.J.

Party Relationships:
Rating Based on Letter Grade (A+-F~)

United Democrats of Jakania: A++++
----The United Democrats of Jakania are a good comrade which have strong relations with the L.D.P. They have our backing in most situations and they offer theirs in return to us. They are the third most Liberal party in the United Jakania.

Jakanian Party of Jakania: A+
----The Jakanian Party of Jakania is one of the most importance aspects of the Liberal Coalition in United Jakania. If they weren't here, numerous legislation would fail that is for the benefit of the people. They are the most Liberal party in the United Jakania.

Conservative Republican Party (Under its false name, it is known as the Moderate Republican Party): F
----The Conservative Republican Party (MRP) has become very quiet after the APSC destroyed their political value. Though we cannot say we sympathize for them after they have taken initial steps towards their own destruction - knowingly.

Jakanian Liberal Socialists: F
----The Jakanian Liberal Socialists have become extremely low key after the APSC crushed them with political sanctions, removing them from pivotal aspects of the government for their resistance to work cooperatively with other parties.

Independent Party: A
----The Independent Party is a very low key party, giving off an almost non-existent persona. They are a crucial player in politics with the L.D.P.

Secularist Libertarian Party: F
----The Secularist Libertarian Party is an anarchist, our sworn enemies. They have unwritten political sanctions against them which have been truly active since 2361.

Republican Party: A
----The Republican Party is generally a polite party. While we disapprove of their current legislative record, they nearly always side with L.D.P. legislation. We believe they will become less radical and easier to negotiate with after they gain power, as most parties realize this is the only way to pass laws successfully. They also have included our party in the newest cabinet instead of giving all the power to themselves.

Supreme Governorship:

Supreme Governor Bieler's term started May 2378 and ended on 2381. After a rigged election took place, Supreme Governor Bieler was not elected to a second term. Gregory Bieler was the first sensible politician elected to the executive office and the first Liberal Democrat to obtain the seat.

After the Elections of 2387, the Liberal Democratic Party regained the office of the Supreme Governor, sending head Liberal Democrat Gregory Bieler back to reclaim his seat from the Anarchists.

L.D.P. Supreme Governorships:
1) 4th (75th Executive) Supreme Governor: Gregory Bieler 2378 - 2381
2) 6th (78th Executive) Supreme Governor: Gregory Bieler 2387 - Present

While the Liberal Democratic Party is estatic with Gregory Bieler's rule as Supreme Governor, it is rumored he may retire from running another campaign. Candidates for the high executive position that have formed an exploratory committee are the following:

Thiris Steton: One of the most conservative Liberal Democrats in the party, he has been popular in Nilaka where a heavy margin of conservatives lay.

Robert Kennedy: Youthful Supreme Councilman that represents the extreme Liberal side of the party.

Lyllain Avan: It is rumored that this powerful Supreme Councilman who is the Party Council Speaker in the Liberal Democratic Party will run in Bieler's stead, if that is the outcome. He is the current front runner.

Wesley Clark: Former Defense Minister in Cildania and a short term to fill the vacant seat in Jakania, Wesley Clark is popular among military voters, something the Liberal Democratic Party has had trouble courting for its entire existence.
