Bill: Health and Safety Act of 2360
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ikradone Nationalsozialistische Partei
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2362
Description[?]:
Article One: We feel that, for the protection of the environment, the government must be responsible for waste disposal. The Private sector simply cannot be trusted to properly dispose of their waste, as it is often not cost-effective to do so. Also, we feel that a national policy is important, as to ensure ALL of Ikradon is a better place. Article Two: We feel that all tap water must be drinkable, as in most cases, it is very difficult to separate grey water and drinking water, and to efffectively do so would require a redundant water system that simply is a waste for all. Therefore, we propose that all water is drinkable, not only to ensure that Ikradon can maintain a balance of saftey without waste, but also to ensure the health of Ikradon. |

Message | We sill support these safety reforms. --- The Chancellor himself lauds this bill, as well. |

Message | We support article 1 but object to the wastefulness of article 2, do people really need fresh clean water to do things like wash windows or a car or to water lawns? We think not, grey water is an important envioronmental issue that we just recently voted on and passed. |
Date | 10:11:27, February 16, 2007 CET | From | New Democratic Party | To | Debating the Health and Safety Act of 2360 |
Message | Why not make people set up their own water collection and recycling systems for non-potable uses? Okay, so there's no legislation option for it, but the idea of constructing more pipes for non-potable water seems even more wasteful. |

Message | While the SWU does bring up a good point, the NDP and ourselves have addressed it already. It is much MORE wasteful to have to separate the tap waters, than have all of it drinkable. |

Message | opposed. |

Message | How is it more wasteful to make sure that lightly used water gets used for other things rather then flushing it and cleaning it again just to wash a car or something? We have already put in measures to help business and people with grey water and it seems pointless and wasteful if these have to be scrapped. |

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
