Bill: Separation of HoS and HoG
Details
Submitted by[?]: AM Feminazi Movement
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2362
Description[?]:
While the LFFR has little or no faith in democracy, we do whoever remain consistent in our desire to separate these positions. We recognise that for most of Likatonia's history these offices have been two seperate identities and this state of affairs has worked well. The LFFR will move this to a vote sometime after the election when the new convoction may take a favourable view of this. |

Message | The LITP feel that by making the Head of State chair the cabinet, it ensures that the party with most popular support can be represented, even against a hostile coalition. |

Message | Why should there not be a voice of dissent in government ? Surely this will mean that a broader cross-section of the actual vote will be represented, something we assume that 'democrats' and 'liberals' would have wanted. |
Date | 08:42:47, February 18, 2007 CET | From | AM Populist Social Democrats | To | Debating the Separation of HoS and HoG |
Message | The people should be able to choose their leader, a sentiment that the LFFR should agree with given that the people came close to choosing their candidate, in an election that shows that people want bigger government. |

Message | Presumably then, if the people were to choose the LFFR leader in this .. more powerful .. position it would be a concern for the PLPL and something that they should perhaps change their mind on now while we offer to support this notion? Furthermore .. WE are the most popular party and we still could not take the postion - so that makes it hardly representative. Do you really want a Fascist controlling such a prestigious position ? |
