Bill: Kashun Mi-shek's Income tax proposal of September 2361
Details
Submitted by[?]: Pnték Znkak Prta 'Bastardry'
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2363
Description[?]:
The Cynical Bastardry Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Dynastic Commonwealth of Pontesi and Gran Tadraki. In light of the proposed spending reduction from 216,750,000,000 PON to 190,620,000,000 PON, a reduction of 26,130,000,000 PON, we seek to promote individual prosperity with a income tax cut from 16% to 14%, from 186,564,091,293 PON to 163,244,000,000 PON, a reduction of 23,320,091,293 PON income. If this is not favourable, the alternative of a 75% luxury goods sales tax drop (4% to 1%) would reduce the income to the similar tune of 22,615,028,561. We intend to couple this with a reduction in corporation tax by 1/7 to 6%, reducing the 8,684,612,760 PON income from it to 7,443,953,794 PON, a reduction of 1,240,658,965 PON in income. Let it be noted that these two changes would increase the national surplus by 1,569,249,742 PON to take it over 10 billion PON (10,221,325,210 PON), ensuring that the government has plenty to fall back on in case of an emergency. |

Message | Then the Bastards ask the ONCP to detail their rationales in the budget proposal. Your proposals seem to be pro-low tax yet pro-spending, even in departments that cover areas that have been effectively removed from government control and a suitable balance is required. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
