Bill: Income tax proposal of November 2361
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2362
Description[?]:
The NCP has listened to the debate on our previous tax reform bill and changed our proposal. Under this bill the first 20K a person earns will be tax free, anything after that 20K will be taxed at a flat rate of 28%. This means the burden of taxation is not placed on the extreme poor but also that the tax system is simple and easy to administer and conductive to successful people. |

Message | We reiterate our belief that it is not fair that those who can least afford to pay tax will pay the same rate as those who can easily afford to. Furthermore we reject the implication that a person's success is determined by their income and we certainly hope Ikradon will not become such a society. |

Message | The LPI shall support this tax reform. |
