Bill: Religious Reform
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2373
Description[?]:
"With the failure of the Peace In The Homeland Manifesto we once again propose our religious agenda, if the COMP vote in favour of this, the party shall be given the post of Minorities Liason Officer, with the role of providing a link between the Jewish majority and the other minorities and attempting to have their demands met by the state. Additionally we propsose a reformation of our laws on religion. Membership of the United Synagogue of Beiteynu will no longer be mandatory and minority religions will be free to practice their faith. However we shall in term re-instate mandatory religious clothing to be worn as thus; Jews to wear yellow, Christians to wear blue, Muslims to wear green, Pagans (all non-People of the Book) to wear red. This is due to the fact that although existing citizens will no longer be forced to attend Jewish services the status of Beiteynu as a Jewish state must be maintained. Therefore in order to police the segregation policies and the different laws in place for Jews and non Jews religious clothing is necessary. We hope to have the support of the COMP on this issue." -- Nasi shel-ha-Aretz ha-Muvtahat Yíšay Yéhôšaphát Yišsérles |
