Message | This breaks the Declaration of Reynoldia in every way possible! |

Message | I'm not the only one who's not being good about agreements. You've segregated the country you just joined and closed off immigration, so we now have absolutely nothing we can use for the treaty we were planning to create for your protection. |

Message | How was that against the Declaration of Reynoldia? Plus, I haven't closed off immigration, I've made immigration based on nationalisty, and Kalistanis are included in those welcome in Gishoto as they are White. |

Message | We would support 1 and 5 in a separate bill |

Message | It doesn't break the Declaration of Reynoldia, but it does make it so that we can't really write a treaty to protect our nationals, because they went and made it so that Gishoto wouldn't meet the requirements of any treaty intended to do that. |

Message | Okay, I really don't understand that post. 1) Neither I, nor the Republic of Gishoto, have in any way broken the Declaration of Reynoldia. 2) The Declaration is NOT an international treaty, but an agreement between the Empire of Kalistan and the Federal Republic of Kalistan that was transformed into national law when you ratified the Declaration in Parliament. 3) This violates almost every proivision in the Declaration. It prohibits foreign investment in Kalistani companies (and because the emigres are now Gishoton nationals, this includes them), which violates the Declaration. Plus, the land reforms really violate the Declaration, as well as the nationalisation of all industries. |

Message | "an agreement between the Empire of Kalistan and the Federal Republic of Kalistan that was transformed into national law when you ratified the Declaration in Parliament." And so, like any national law, the parliament can repeal it. Parliament passing a bill does not mean that the provisions are set in stone and must be followed ad infinitum. Even if it was, your anti-land reform provision is a resolution in violation of an already existing law that states you cannot hold a majority share of any corporation. The provision about passing illegal majority holding back into the marketplace was followed, they were sold at auction. Whether or not they are confiscated by the state four years later is irrelevant to that provision. And this bill does not explictly prohibit foriegn investment in companies, because the emigrants could get permission from the government to keep their investments, as they were allowed to in the declaration. The only other aspect of the declaration that I remember, that of you leaving within two years of six boats, you clearly violated when you decided to stick around for significantly longer. Not to mention the fact that a million people don't easily fit on six air craft carriers. But what do you care, you left (supposedly)? |
