Message | Public resources and services like utility should be controlled by the public. Often privatisation has led to the deterioration of the infrastructure as it leads to the pursuit of short term profit, at the expense of safety, reliability, and even the long-term profitability of the enterprise itself. In some industries this is not such a great problem, but in something as crucial as energy, we favour the stronger accountability and stablity of the current system. |
