Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: When Oalapo first at Heaven's command Arose from out the emerald main Arose, arose, arose from out the emerald main This was the charter, The charter of the land, And guardian angels sung this strain: Refrain: Rule Luthori, Luthori rule the waves, Luthorians never never never shall be slaves. The nations, not so blest as thee, Must, in their turns, to tyrants fall: Must in, must in, must in their turns to tyrants fall. While thou shalt flourish, Shalt flourish great and free, The dread and envy of them all. (Refrain) Still more majestic shalt thou rise, More dreadful, from each foreign stroke: More dreadful, dreadful, dreadful from each foreign stroke. As the loud blast, The blast that tears the skies, Serves but to root thy native oak. (Refrain) Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame: All their attempts to bend thee down, All their, all their, all their attempts to bend thee down Will but arouse thy, Arouse thy generous flame; But work their woe, and thy renown. (Refrain) To thee belongs the rural reign; Thy cities shall with commerce shine: Thy cities, cities, cities shall with commerce shine All thine shall be the, Shall be the subject main, And every shore it circles thine. (Refrain) The Muses, still with freedom found, Shall to thy happy coast repair: Shall to, shall to, shall to thy happy coast repair Blest land! with matchless, With matchless beauty crown'd, And manly hearts to guard the fair. (Refrain)

And was the holy Lamb of God On Luthori's pleasant pastures seen? And did the countenance divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills? And was Yishelem builded here Among those dark satanic mills? Bring me my bow of burning gold! Bring me my arrows of desire! Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire! I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand, Till we have built Yishelem In Luthori's green and pleasant land. |

Message | For those without the intelligence for simple medieval Latin, a translation of the proposed national anthem is provided below: Sing, my tongue, the Saviour's glory, of His flesh the mystery sing; of the Blood, all price exceeding, shed by our immortal King, destined, for the world's redemption, from a noble womb to spring. Of a pure and spotless Virgin born for us on earth below, He, as Man, with man conversing, stayed, the seeds of truth to sow; then He closed in solemn order wondrously His life of woe. On the night of the Last Supper, seated with His chosen band, He the Paschal victim eating, first fulfills the Law's command; then as Food to His Apostles gives Himself with His own hand. Word-made-Flesh, the bread of nature, by His word to Flesh He turns; wine into His Blood He changes; what though sense no change discerns? Only be the heart in earnest, faith her lesson quickly learns. Down in adoration falling, Lo! the sacred Host we hail; Lo! o'er ancient forms departing, newer rites of grace prevail; faith for all defects supplying, where the feeble senses fail. To the everlasting Father, and the Son who reigns on high, with the Holy Ghost proceeding from from Each eternally, be salvation, honor, blessing, might and endless majesty. Amen. Alleluia. |

Message | We'd suggest putting Article III in a seperate bill as we can't currently support it as it stands. |

Message | Which? Article III or the bill? And why? Are there any other objections? |

Message | Article III. In essence, we actually believe that making goverment appointments political gives those positions more democratic accountability, by reflecting the will of the local electorate. |

Message | Article I is completely unacceptable to us. Singing the national anthem should be a patriotic experience: that means the people singing it need to understand the words, not just recite noises. |

Message | That is only an issue if your party continues to block the teaching of Old Luthori in schools! This is one the great Christian anthems, a rallying call to prayer before the Greatest of Sacraments! @ILP: An independant system guarantees impartiality, a continuity between governments, full paperwork being available to all governments, and reduces the ease of corruption. |
