Bill: Sports Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: People's Progressive Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2088

Description[?]:

This bill will hopefully improve the efficiency of sportsclubs and open them up to private competition, making the industry more competitive and hence offer better services. However, government and business can work hand in hand in this venture as opposed to against each other, and by the use of Private Finance Initiatives we can improve our sports clubs (and save money, they can then by poured into education and healthcare).

Messagei dont see how this garauntees better services. it would only mean government starts competing the private's and the other way around while it's better for these sport-clubs to work together...

MessageBecause if they are competiting, then they will have to offer better services than their rivals, and hence the standard offered increases dramatically. But, since government will be running the clubs side by side, the cost to join these drastically improved clubs will be practically free.
