Description[?]:

Over 400 years ago, in 2068, the Legitimate Businessman's Social Club was born in order to combat excessive socialism, which was rampant in Darnussia. Darnussians responded by choosing the LBSC to represent their capitalist interests in Parliament.

Now, 200 years since the LBSC was disbanded, it has returned with a new ideology. An ideology that fits the needs of the people, and now the needs of the privileged few. The new Social Democratic Party is united in its efforts to combat excessive capitalism in favor of mild socialism and increased representation of the Darnussian population.

Centralization: We believe in a strong federal government, as only a united government can adequately provide for the needs of all Darnussians, rich and poor.

Civil Rights: We fight for the civil rights of Darnussians. We fight for the rights of homosexuals when it comes to marriage laws or their presence in the military.

Ecology: We have but one planet, and we must do whatever we can to find a compromise between a modern-day society and ecological interests.

Foreign Relations: We are strong internationalists, who desire strong alliances with other liberal democratic nations.

Govt. Responsibilities: Relative to the conservatives, we are strongly in favor of more government responsibilities. We look to helping the poor and the disadvantaged, not the wealthy upper-class who are capable of helping themselves.

Market: We seek moderate regulations on the economy to ensure that a portion of Darnussian money goes to all Darnussians. A large majority of profits will go to the private owners and shareholders, but a small minority of profits will be taxed to help pay for welfare to the poor.

Military: We believe in a strong, but voluntary military force. We are in favor of researching and building weapons of mass destruction, but not in favor of using them unless under extreme circumstances.

Morality: We are convinced progressives in that we desire to move society forward to more civil liberties than what is offered by the conservatives.

Religion: Church and state are two separate institutions, and we must fight to keep it that way. No religious doctrine should influence how Darnussia forms its policy.
