Message | Dear members of the Cildanian Senate Greetings from Dranland. I write to you today in a plea for help on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of Welsh-Dranians. The Scientologist and Facist parties in my nation has embarked on a third attempt to wipe out the Welsh race. The first attempt was many decades ago, in what was called "Operation Ethnic Cleanse". Tens, if not hundreds of thousands of Welsh-Dranians were slaughtered in a matter of days in Mynydd Mawr, Dranland. The survivors fled, mostly to Gishoto where they were welcomed and protected with open arms. Decades later Dranland, again ruled by the Scientologists and Facists, planned a war against Gishoto with the express aim of finishing off what they began. Thankfully Gishoto had powerful allies who pledged their support. Staring at the our joint might, Dranland backed off, but not before detonating a nuclear explosion in a popular Welsh-Gishoton tourist complex within their own border. Later the Welsh-Gishotons, and some of the Welsh-Kazulias, returned en-masse to Dranland. The Scientologists and Facists immediatly began planning a third assault, which has now began. A "legalized genocide" bill is before our Assembly (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=113668). It once received enough vots to pass but thankfully we managed to call a snap election and return it to debate stage. The voters gave the anti-genoicde parties enough votes to block the bill and now the Scientoogists are biding their time, waiting until they have the votes again. At the same time thousands of Welsh-Dranians have been made to "dissapear". They are dragged from their beds and from the streets by police, soldiers and facist-backed militia. While the government claimed they had been deported to Hulstrio (form. Gishoto) the Hulstrian leaders confirmed this was a lie. Rumours are abound of gas chambers and firing squad, aparently in a large heavily armed complex in our Valdor region. Thankfully nations of Terra have awoken to these barbaric acts, one of whom have prepared this treaty and asked for international support. Your support would be invaluable. Please help us. Message | Know that by voting for this condemnation, we may need to take military action in Dranland should the apparent genocide continue. Such actions are improbable, and would only occur with the invitation of Dranland and a coalition of other Terran nations, but the possibility is still real. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
