Message | Proposal 1: The current legislation is an unaaceptable slight against all those able and willing to adopt children in need, who just happen to be outside of this governments accept "norm" Proposal 2: The government has no right legislating on such matters; period Proposal 3: Although the LEFC opposes discrimination, and all government services will be forbidden from such practices; the government should not legislate on the manner in which private companies provide services, or whom they choose to provide those services to. Proposal 4: If any persons chooses to have a child; they should do so when in a position to provide for that child. Whilst the government should not prevent anybody from bringing a child into this world, they should also not be subsiding those who do without proper planning. Proposal 5: Whilst Civil Defence has many advantages, it should be left up to the private sector and the market to determine demand and react accordingly. Proposal 6: 33% is far too high and is stifiling bussiness and discouraging potential Kanjoran entrepenuers. The proposed reduction would beniefit the economy, and would likley lead to a rise in net income from the tax in ther long run. Proposal 7: The death penalty is abhorrent, by its very nature it inverts the state-citizen relationship. It makes the indivdual responsible to the state, and gives the state the mandate to go against the very reason for its being; to protect all of the people regardless of their status or the deeds they commit. Proposal 8: Only those who are truly able should be being subsidized through higher education, and this can be provided through scholarships. Higher education should be an elite institution; not a free ride for anyone who wishes to avoid the world of work for a few years. Proposal 9: There is no reason that homosexuality should be a reason for disbarment from military service. All kanjorans are capable of fighting for their country; and none should be prevent from doing so through the bigoted views of those with obvious insecurities. Proposal 10: Direct elections for Mayors ensures true direct democracy is inplace in local regions, where it operates most effectivley. Proposal 11: Whilst the LEFC has no problems with any religions, and recognises the great contribution many have made to Kanjor itself and Terra as a whole; we cannot justify them being exempt from taxation; and furthermore express concern that some unscruplous indivduals seem willing to use the religous umbrella to escape from appropriate taxation. We stilll, however, support the exemption for charitable donations. Proposal 12: We do not believe in any form of censorship, and dismiss the idea that sexually explicit material is inherently wrong or corrupting. |

Message | Maybe we could create a compromise act, we are willing to vote for any act that takes kanjor forwards, even if we do not view it as ideal. Perhaps you could create a counter suggestion bill, leave it in the discussion phase and we can debate it. |

Message | We will only comment directly on a few of the proposed changes (though we oppose them all). Article 2: Apparently the LEFC has no problems with the idea of drunken children littering the streets, that alcohol is to be sold only to adults seems to us to be eminently sensible. Article 5: The provision of shelters cannot be left to the user pays principle, why should the poorer members of society be sacrificed? Article 6: Corporations profit from society, it is only just that they appropriately contribute. Article 8: Higher education should be open to all. It should not be an elite institution, a holiday camp for the children of the rich! Article 10: Enforcing certain electoral systems on our provinces does not seem democratic at all, better to leave that decision up to the people themselves. Article 11: Only recognised religions are exempt from taxation, this is to ensure that organisations attempting to profit by pretending to be religions do not do so. Article 12: This would allow child pornography to be shown on tv, is that what the LEFC desires? |

Message | Article 2: If a shop does not wish to sell to children then it doesnt have to, we have no right to state that anybody of any age shouldnt drink. Those shops that sell irresponsibly will soon find themselves being boycotted by those who dissaprove. Article 5: The poorest members of society have only themselves to blame for their poverty, the chance is their for them to improve themeslves, and afford what they would like. If taxes were lower they may be able to afford such things. Afford 6: The key word you use is appropriate, and the current rate is nothing short of robbery. Artcile 8: The term elite was meant in a meritocratic sense not a class or wealth sense. We believe University should exists for those that are truly gifted. Article 10: We understand the views of the PPk on this matter, and have some sympathy; however we are concerned about Municipaql councils being able to appoint or internally elect a leader. Article 11: We do not believe the government should be choosing which religions to recognise and which not to. Article 12: We do not desire it, but have no intention of legislating against it. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
