MessageThe thing about gated communities is that they set up barriers that separate people from one another, and that's not good in terms of keeping everyone equal. Could you tell us more about why you think they are needed?

MessageI don't think that they are 'needed' but at the same time I don't feel that government has aright to outlaw them. If people want to separate themselves from one another then that's up to them. Gated communities do not necessarily result in inequality.

MessageWe might be amenable to supporting gated communities being run by the public sector, so that the government can keep a closer eye on making sure certain areas do not get better treatment than others.
