Message | This is absurd, guns are dangerous and unnecessary for the vast majority of the population. It is a perfectly legitimate role of government to restrict the use of potential dangers. We prevent people from driving before passing a competency test, we regulate the use of certain medications, we prescribe what agricultural chemicals can be used and in what volumes. We do these things because without controls and restrictions ACCIDENTS happen. The video tabled raises little in the way of good argument. These laws are not about taking power away from the citizens of Kazulia, as the video points out, they are comparable to seatbelt laws, it is undeniably true that areas that strictly enforce seatbelt laws experience a far lower social cost of road accidents. The same is true of gun laws. |
