MessageIt is the view of the N.U.F. that it isn't within the confines of our duties as legislators to pander to those who can elevate themselves from a lower-income bracket by providing a free hand-out. We should be providing programs and means to enable these Malvians to elevate themselves out of their economic disparity and not simply giving them a crutch to continue with the status quo. This isn't to say that the N.U.F. stands against the State contracting with the private market to drive down the costs of subsidized public housing for those with the legitimate need.
