MessageOkay fellow Malivian parties. Here is the idea. Ignore the original makeup of this cabinet.

We'll use this proposal as a debate forum to reach a pan-party cabinet that can sustain a majority.
225 seats are required. The parties that will be participating in the cabinet will be sharing ministries according to their proportionality in seats.

First we should figure out who wants to be in on the cabinet and then once we've established a majority of 225, willing to work together, we'll debate which party gets what ministry..

MessageGreat. The RSM and UM will be joining in on the LP to form a coalition government of 216. Not large enough for a majority but a pretty large minority.

Liberal Party of Malivia (114 seats) - 6 cabinet positions
Red Spartacist Movement (59 seats) - 4 cabinet positions
United Malivia (43 seats) - 3 cabinet positions.

In proportionality I propose to distribute the 13 cabinet positions as follows:

1. Head of Government: Liberal Party of Malivia
2. Science and Technology: Liberal Party of Malivia
3. Food and Agriculture: Red Spartacist Movement
4. Environment and Tourism: Red Spartacist Movement
5. Trade and Industry: United Malivia
6. Foreign Affairs: Liberal Party of Malivia
7. Internal Affairs: United Malivia
8. Finance: Liberal Party of Malivia
9. Defence: Liberal Party of Malivia
10. Justice: Liberal Party of Malivia
11. Infrastructure and Transport: United Malivia
12. Health and Social Services: Red Spartacist Movement
13. Education and Culture: Red Spartacist Movement

MessageAlright. I'll set up a final cabinet proposal read for voting tomorrow (we really should move along with this) with SSD Party included. The number of ministries will get shuffled a bit but always in proportion to the size of the party.

Since our parties hold different views on many issues, the coalition while attempting to cultivate a greater multilateral understanding, will also naturally have to allow for free votes on most items.

Major issues like the budget and taxation will have to go through multi-party negotiations.

MessageIt is an interesting choice of a coalition. I would warn my fellow parties of leaving other parties, with more of a majority-out in the cold. The people of Malivia are being served vastly short by such a measure. However, clearly being in the minority sitting to the right, I will have to accept this and look forward to the future and hope that all parties can reach a consensus despite this insult.
