Date | 19:25:09, August 01, 2007 CET | From | Sekowan Communist Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of July 2437 |
Message | The SCP bowed to the wishes of the AUP. Also, we think a larger military shall better secure Sekowo's place as a world leader. ((OOC: Also, there'll be a surplus of like 100 billion anyways, and we're tossing about the idea of war)) |

Message | CeC will support this budget, however we are still weary that such an increase in defense spending could spark an arms race in the region. We would also urge the government to lower individual income taxes. |

Message | The head of government will likely need additional funding, as they have a new constitution to implement and such. As for the CeC's objections, the defense budget was, to be frank, an embarrassment. We hope to rectify this. As for the income taxes, essential services are already provided by the government. Those tax rates were calculated with the hope of reducing Sekowo's Gini coefficient. Those tax hikes shall also help fund defence, heath care, and science. |

Message | Th DSP does not have a problem with raising the bill this time, but is reluctant to give defence to much money as we believe in peace. |
