Bill: Chemical & Biological Weapons Ban Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2440

Description[?]:

The DSP has taken notice that the military of Sekowo is allowed to both develop these weapons and to use them, should it so decide.

The DSP consider these weapons to be just as bad, if not worse in some cases as nuclear weapons, and thusly believes that they should be forbidden from use and any and all development into them be purely scientific and focused on finding cures for them.

Therefore the DSP purposes the following.

Messagewe have to oppose. We should not worry about our own atrocities, but about the threat that others' can pose to use.

MessageThe DSP must disagree, we must fix our own problems before looking outwards at the same thing.

We also do believe that scientific research into it should be allowed since others may not be as ethical as we are and use them.

MessageAlthough we agree that biological and chemical weapons should be used only in the most extreme of conditions, we believe that we should not limit the options at our disposal for defending our national interests and security.

MessageIf biological or chemical weapons were used against us we would use normal weapons to take out there capabilities.

The DSP believes the bio/chem weapons are some of the worst weapons for two reasons;
1. They have the potential to wipe out a large swathe of humanity, regardless of where they're meant to be used.
2. The amount of civilian death directly and indirectly caused is potentially enormous.

MessageBecause this bill will grow stale if it's left up for vote indefinitely, it will now be put up for vote.
