Message | PPK: We see your point for Article 1; we'll change it momentarily. As for Article 2, we feel that automatic weaponry should be limited in scope. They are not needed for hunting and should therefore be restricted somewhat. Article 3, we feel that a strict licensing not only helps to fight crime ("Hey, the ballistics of this murder go to this gun, owned by this guy, he might be the killer," etc) as well as restrict those who have a dangerous mental illness or have dangerous criminal leanings. All of these things would be included in licensing and conditions. |

Message | Thank you for changing Article 1, we also are prepared to support 2 unfortunately we will not support 3 under any circumstances. If the bill could be split we would appreciate it. |

Message | We know we are being painful but we were unaware of some of the other options available for article 2 (sigh). We prefer either: "Citizens may own any type of weapons, but certain types are restricted to designated places." or "Only certain types of weapons may be owned by the general public, but these may be carried anywhere except as determined by the property owner." |

Message | PPK: We don't like the idea of some guy walking down the street with a fully automatic weapon because there is not an "owner" of the street, so we won't be going with the latter of your two. We don't feel there is a need for certain weapons, especially fully automatic weaponry, for the civilian population. These are not needed for the protection of the home, they are not needed for hunting, and they are not needed for any social reason. A strong national and local police force are there to protect the population. They are well funded and well trained. Given the current leftist control of government, we believe these police forces are treating their people well because of government oversight. Who needs these automatic weapons? |
