The idea that the state can only be a Jewish state forces progression into a stand still as the "Jewish" parties are self identifying Zionists and Hasidic while also, in the original draft or the Mizrachi Ligat's stepping down speech, making a point to state that the country is now being run by "liberals" and the left. Has this nation been the Jewish homeland in the past? Yes. Was it a few years ago? No. Does it have to be the Jewish homeland alone in the future? No. |
