Bill: Aymam Moderation Manifesto: Military Autonomy

Details

Submitted by[?]: Ma'avak

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2449

Description[?]:

"Currently our laws state that any citizen is allowed to serve in the military and although this may have been introduced to prevent perceived racism it is actually detrimental to our armed capabilites. The military generals are now forced to accept anyone into the army even if they are unfit, disabled or even if they actively profess anti-Beiteynuese thoughts. We should give them the autonomy to run our military the way they see fit."

-- Naczelnik Nasi Efraim Lezeyn

Message"I fail to see how this bill encourages the admission of Muslims to the Sacred Armed Forces of Beiteynu. If a Muslim or any other person is hell bent on attacking our own state by treason or force this bill will allow our generals to refuse them entry to the military."

MessageRight, so even if a general believes they wish to disrupt the armed forces they should be allowed in? That logic is absurd.

Message"Currently we have national service and so every adult citizen is required to serve a term in the military (note: unless this were to pass in which case individuals thought to put the safety of our troops at risk could be refused entry), ergo the Persecuters Party have just called our entire population dumb."

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "We're the first society in history with the option of living in a world without poverty. The fact poverty still exist says more about our political leaders than I can." - Clint Borgen
