Bill: Democratization of Water
Details
Submitted by[?]: Front for a Solidarian Country
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2038
Description[?]:
Seeing the lack of proper infraestructure and the lack of access to water suffered by our citizens in some parts of the country, we propose: (1) The complete nationalization of water works in Beluzia, to be grouped in Beluzian National Water, a state-owned corporation under the administration of the ministry of economics. (2) At least 35% of BNW's revenues will have to be used to improve infraestructure or to be spent in education or social welfare projects. (3) All rivers, underground or not, and lakes in Beluzia shall be considered free and public property. To block the access, or cause pollution or injury to these water soucers will be considered a crime. |

Message | There are many reasons that we cannot support this bill, but chief among them is simply that the nationalization of industry ought not be undertaken except when absolutely necessary. It does not seem necessary here, and it will only create more red tape. |
