Message"We feel Shinto should be added to this list. It also makes sense for Messianic Judaism to be listed seperately, since most Jewish and Christian organisations would not recognise it as part of their religion."

MessageOOC: Just out of interest has there ever been any use of Hinduism in particracy anyone knows of?

IC: They have both been added along with Geraja. We however, for the purpose of this to work, need more information on sects and denominations of these major religions that can be seen more as dangerous and radical cults that established religions.

Message"To ensure that established and peaceful religions can be free from taxation and able to set up religious schools whilst dangerous cults can be prevented from wreaking havoc upon our nation. Perhaps their is a traditional Egyptian religion of the PPP that they would like to see recognised?"

MessageOOC: I'd never heard of Hindusim in Terra, but having a search through the forums broght up that theres (or was) a small minority in Indrala.

IC: "Aretism, while not in the strictest sense a religion or cult, we believe should be added to the list of unrecognised religions, given the spiritual elements in the totalitarian state it aspires to."

MessageIndeed, we would also like to see non-recognition of Hobaism given its violent history.

MessageWhen I said the position needs to be clarified in law I didn't mean "these are religions, these are cults". There needs to be a standard test that can be applied uniformly to see what is an what isn't a religion/what is or isn't a cult. Considering the literal thousands of religions and thousands of cults no such list is ever going to encompass all of them, not to mention what was once religion is now considered cult (See: Norse, Roman and Greek pantheons).

MessagePeolpe ought to be able to form whatever spiritual orgonizations they wish. What those organizations happen to believe is none of our buisness, nor is the amount of people in them, their history, or anything else about them other than that they abide by our laws at all times. As our laws currently tax all religious institutions as buisnesses, what benefit is there for being recognised?
