Bill: Parent Act of March 2451

Details

Submitted by[?]: Union Hosienne-Démocrate (UHD)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2452

Description[?]:

Parental qualifications need to be in place. No more incest or desertion of children. Qualifications will eliminate most of these activities; some will slip through the cracks, but saving one child from these dangers is worth the added coverage.

MessageHuh? I have never heard of a policy of testing people before they can have kids. This is governmental interference to the extreme, and the PPPP will have no part of it. And population growth? What are we fascists here? ...nevermind.

MessageParents should be tested to show that they can indeed care for their children, that they do not molest or harm their children through other means. You speak of "freedom" of the people to do as they please without harming others, but when the UPF proposes standards to protect children by keeping tabs on those that will harm others the Forpees appear flabergasted. What gives?

The UPF also finds it perplexing how the Forpees wish to flood the ranks of the nation with culturally diverse immigrants and impoverished refugees but cares not to increase the nation's population through natural means. Natural means ensures continued economic stability, cultural solidarity and gives the people all a stake in the future. Not to mention, it ensures a strong and prosperous nation.

MessageOOC: It kind of gets on my nerves when people are just roleplaying in this game. I have to keep telling myself you used to be the DLP. I play Particracy in the simplest way possible- my party's values are completely my own. Of course, if everyone followed their real life beliefs this wouldn't be as diverse, interesting, and amusing (and frustrating) at all... Anyways, I'm going back IC:

It is not the government's role to regulate population growth. I see no reason why we can't have economic stability and give our people a stake in the future if we don't trespass on their personal freedom of having as few babies as they want. As for "cultural solidarity," what you're really saying is "racial solidarity." The unique customs and history of this nation will remain intact regardless of how many "culturally diverse" people we accept. The UPFF is nothing more than a pile of scumbags reeking in a gutter of racism and bigotry.

The PPPP recognizes only one superior culture and race: the culture of Terra and the superior human race.

Messageooc: Haha, fuck me. You are irritated by people roleplaying? This whole game is one big role play to me. The whole concept of the "French Union," which you seem to actively support, is to increase role play. Honestly, some people...

MessageOOC: Dude, relax. It's a bloody game. The DLP was many of my beliefs, and guess what? I didn't get elected! So I decided to change and find a niche in which to find support. What's the problem?

IC: The UPF fails to see how we are being racist or bigots in our stance against flooding the nation with impoverished refugees and opening the borders to every immigrant who comes crying to the doorstep.

We care not about the racial status of the Kanjoran people, but in their continued cultural solidarity.

We already state our stance on parental qualifications; we feel no reason to reply to them again. We feel that people who are fully capable (financially, lawfully and personally) should have as many children as possible.

The reasons and results are obvious if one were to think on them.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America).

Random quote: "Perhaps the fact that we have seen millions voting themselves into complete dependence on a tyrant has made our generation understand that to choose one's government is not necessarily to secure freedom." - Friedrich Hayek
