Bill: Industry Stimulant Act II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Mouvement des Conservateurs

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2097

Description[?]:

Fellow politicians,

As a continuation of attracting new industries and giving them the possibility to develop in our country we might want to take the stimulant act a step further. Our country still isn't what it takes to act as a hospital environment for the industry business.

We propose the following:

Art. 1: Give enterprises and major companies 100% freedom to establish business in our country. With a industry tax rate of 35% and efficient good tax variables this could lead our major cities towards economic powerhouses.

Art. 2: In order to obtain complete freedom, we propose the same for the car-industry, which are restricted towards minimum possible in our country because of the strict ecologic regulations.

Art 3: The stimulation of the informatics industries lies in the possibility to gain copyright patents for newly developed software.

Suggestions or objections are most welcome

Regards

MessageI'm concerned about No. 1. It allows for the potential of drastic ripple effects when large industries fail. I'd prefer something a bit more moderate.

MessageTo prevent failure of the larger industries and the damage they could bring to the market, we might could consider to take over some strategic industries to obtain the public good. However that can cost the government a certain high amount of money.

MessageBut the risk of throwing our fate to the market is greater than the costs i believe.

I'd support

The government acts as an investor of last resort, by nationalizing failing industries that provide vital goods or services.

Or

The government subsidizes private enterprises that face bankruptcy.

Have a completely unregulated market is simply unrealistic I believe.
