Brothers, The Pnték once again seek our land! For our faith, for Beiteynuese democracy, we cannot afford to be bullied by our enemies in Pontesi. We must respond in turn, and mobilise forces to defend our Eastern border.

Recognising Pontesi unrightfully claims on Beiteynuese Mehozot of Tadraki and Endlid

Recognising the agressive stance being taken by Pontesi.

Let it be enacted that:

1. A further 85,000 Beiteynuese troops shall be mobilised and depolyed in the Tadraki Mehoz, with the Naczelnik Nasi given the power to mobilise extra forces as he sees fit, after consultation with the Minister of Defence.

2. Any incursion of Beiteynuese territory, no matter how big or small, by the Pontesian Army, or attempt by the Pontesian Government to subvert or destabilise Beiteynu's rightful sovereignty over its five Mehozot, shall be treated as a declaration of war.

3. In order to establish a lasting peace between Beiteynu and Pontesi, the parties here will agree to send a delgate to discuss the possibility of building a Peace Wall along our shared border.

Message"We see it like this. No Beiteynu troops have entered Pontesian soil and they have a history of trying to destroy Beiteynu so this is clearly just a ploy by those hawk buggerers in the east to justify another invasion. We wish to see the following put into place; Increased troop deployment to Tadraki and a resolution that if any Pontesian soldier, tank, plane or anything else enters just an inch of Beiteynuese land or airspace it shall be treated as a declaration of war and we shall respond with due force. We would also like to begin discussions on the building of a security fence between Tadraki and Pontesi."

Message"We thank the Av Beit Din for his swift and effective work on this proposal. However we suspect that in regards to the Peace Wall Pontesi will not agree to such a move and it may have to be undertaken unilaterally."

Message"We fear that you are correct in your assesment of Pontesi reaction to a Peace Wall. However, given the weak case Pontesi currently have for war, any attempt at unilateral action will likely be added, in some backward Pnték logic, to this. We feel that attempting to gain Pontesi approval first is the best course, with unilateral action to be taken if (or, more likely, when) they reject this plan."

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.

Random quote: "A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven." - Jean Chretien (describing the level of proof about weapons of mass destruction that Canada required to join the Iraq War)
