Message | We the Labour Party value our education system very much so. But we as any other ordinary citizens realise and have done so for some time that education isn’t for everyone. Some people are not destined to do a white collar office style job. Some people are destined to do other things such as manual labour or performing arts or go to other educational establishments such as colleges or work as an apprentice learning the “tricks of the trade” in a particular job. We feel it simply isn’t fair to make everyone stay right through to 18 in education, when they can leave qualified at 16 and make a decent go of things. Why anyone should be forced to stay in something they do not believe in is beyond us. Yes, education is important and yes we value it. But beyond 16, seems a little bit excessive as for as we are concerned. Afterall, we are a party of freedom, of choice and of personal responsibility for the people of our country. Not everyone benefits from education- and that is what we must realise. Pauline Richardson, Labour Party Shadow Minister for Education and Culture and Minister for Fuwan. |

Message | If the Labour Party could provide us with evidence that both those students staying on and those leaving full time compulsory education are well treated and looked after; through subsidies to colleges etc... then we would back this legislation. Marc Legumes- MCM senator from Shinatawa, MCM shadow Education Minister. |

Message | We oppose. The more people stay in formal education the best. Better because they will enjoy greater knowledge and develop increased skills, and better because they will start competing later in the labour market, thus not pressing the wages down. Sen. Anna Basuto - Workers Party |

Message | In response to the MCM, the money in the budget already carries some substantial money for colleges and other alternative education facilities. That money currently isn't being used as well as it could do and I am confident that it will be used correctly if this bill passes on alternative education facilties. Pauline Richardson, Labour Party Shadow Minister for Education and Culture and Minister for Fuwan. |

Message | I am sorry to the Labour party; though we realise that your attempted "protection" of the less-education or less-academic students is good, we do not feel that this system would be well implimented and would cause further disruptions in the Education departments. We do not agree that 16 year olds are of an age where education is no longer important, 18 is a much more suitable age where our new adults can make a sensible chocie of whether to study at a University or College or go straight into the Workplace. Marc Legumes- MCM Senator from Shinatawa, MCM shadow Education Minister. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
