Bill: Anarchist Reform Proposal 6 (Arms Sales)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Endralonian Situationist Collective
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2097
Description[?]:
We see a great opportunity to make government revenue not at the expense of our citizens, but through business with insurgent groups around the world. A free exportation of convential arms overseas would net a hefty profit, with the added bonus of destabilising foreign governments. With a competent customs force and the advantage of our relativly limited land border, there's little chance of these arms re-entering our territory. So lets spread a little chaos and make a little money! |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning the export of weapons to other nations.
Old value:: The government must approve all arms sales on a case by case basis.
Current: The government allows arms to be sold only to close allies.
Proposed: The government allows conventional arms to be exported freely.

Message | The SoS line on this is perhaps a little more moderate than the CAC! Our view is that free arms trade (besides WMD) is inescapable and foreign groups will get their hands on guns just like criminals always would here. So we equate freedom of sale in the same manner as our legalisation of firearms for our own public. However, our allied nations are of importance to us and we will ensure cooperation between our intelligence services to aid them in their fight against militant groups, and thwart export contracts to those via domestic means. |
