Message | Gentlemen, lets look at the ramifications of this bill before we blindly offer support! The citizens of this nation should not have to "repay" the state for their education. Education is right, not a privelage. We aim to have highly educated citizens to keep our economy strong and our country progressing, yet this bill discourages them from doing so from fear of conscription! We need not conscript our citizens. The Federal Republic of Solentia is a peaceful nation and I have full faith in our Foreign Minister to keep relationships with other nations peaceful. Furthermore, if in the unlikely event of war does take place, trained professionals, known as the military should defend the nation. Senators, by passing this bill you will personally strip citizens of their right to conciously object to war and their right to remain free from harm! I ask the FIP and WP to re-evaluate their stance on this liberty depriving bill! The government should protect its citizens, not throw them in the firing line! Ethan Turner, Deputy Party Leader |
