MessageYou know, I'm actually starting to question this proposal... There is a fundamental difference between personal property and privately owning the means of production. I guess all housing should stay with the families.

ooc: I support communal living, the game doesn't really have any laws that promotes socialist ownership of houses...

Messageooc: state-owned is socialist ownership of housing. The problem with socialism is that in an ideal situation, wise and benevolent people like Jesus would be in charge. In reality it is guys like Stalin, or Bush. That is why I support Ron Paul for president in 2008:

Messageooc: Socialism distinguishes between personal property and private property. It makes no sense to collective toothbrushes. While condos and communes would be more socialist, private ownership of houses wouldn't end. In Cuba, even, I think it's something like 75% of the people own their homes. And for every Stalin, there is a Lenin or Fidel or Marx. We will keep trying, because socialism is necessary for social development. Communism is the highest stage of society, and it's possible!

Messageooc: Marx and Lenin rejected God, and were therefore evil. Fidel has half a brain, he allowed the pope to visit and etc. The good kind of communism is found in a monastery. Have you ever heard of distributism?

Random fact: Characters are considered to be "owned" by the player who first mentioned or created them. In practice, players may share responsibility for role-playing a character, but ultimate authority rests with the owner.
