Bill: La Defense
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union Pour Un Movement Populaire
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2490
Description[?]:
Firstly, We should stop exporting arms to foreign nations completely. It is a horrible and unthoughtful process. We cannot be held responsible for the deaths of innocent people because we choose to sell guns to warfaring nations or otherwise. We cannot sell weapons to anyone, to do so would invite conflict, hatred, and scorn to ourselves, and all parties involved. Additionally to sell arms would be to jeapordize our national security, by selling arms, we also sell arms technology and therefore weaken our great nation and our assets. Secondly, Defense should henceforth be made an issue for and by the state. We cannot allow companies access to our national weapon secrets and technology, to do such would be an open invitation for the sale of classified information and technology. Additionally, most of our so called defense industries are in reality industries made for the sole purpose of destruction. Therefore, our government should regain ownership of all defense industries to, strenghten our defenses, not our offenses, to secure our technology, not let it be sold, and to allow the state to slowly move our national motives from offense to defense. |
