Message | I hope this one is introduced properly as a proposal under ecology. At any rate, the goal is to conserve wildlife stocks. |
Date | not recorded | From | Chorus of Amyst | To | Debating the Government regulation of hunting. |
Message | While many of our constituents are rather environmentally-minded, it is the belief of the Amystian Council that if hunting is to be regulated at all, it is better left in the hands of local governments than the national government. |

Message | While the CCF supports local autonomy, it is our belief that Lodamun requires a national environmental strategy. This bill is only, we hope, the first of several bills we shall be proposing on the environment (once the proposals are coded, that is!). Pollution knows no borders; neither does poaching. It is our further belief that only the national goivernment has the resources to enforce a partial ban. The Coast Guard can easily prevent over-fishing, but the local government of Golavia, for instance, has no such capacity. |

Message | The Shylock Party agrees with the CCF on this issue. Local governments do not have the resources to appropriately control this issue -- it must remain as a national issue. |
Date | not recorded | From | Chorus of Amyst | To | Debating the Government regulation of hunting. |
Message | Local governments do not have the resources precisely because the national government forces them to provide it with such resources instead. However, upon reconsideration of this specific bill, the Amystian Council has concluded that environmental strategies should indeed be a national concern, to better ensure that wildlife that is indigenous to a single region, say, are not hunted to extinction if that particular regional government chooses to leave hunting without regulation. |
Date | not recorded | From | To | Debating the Government regulation of hunting. |
Message | National governments can more efficiently provide the service to the nation as a whole, than local governments can. The additional resources required by the governments to make up for this inefficiency would result in more taxes and fees from the taxpayers -- an insupportable motion. Therefore, we in the Shylock Party are glad that the Amystian Council has seen clear the way to supporting this proposal. |
Date | not recorded | From | Cooperative Commonwealth Federation | To | Debating the Government regulation of hunting. |
Message | The CCF is pleased that a national consensus has been achieved on this matter. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
