Bill: Declaration of War
Details
Submitted by[?]: Constitutional Monarchy Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2486
Description[?]:
I, Captain Hector Barbossa, Foreign Secretary for the Beluzian Government, do hereby call on Parliament to allow the government to persue war with Rutania.
The reasons for war are as follows:
1- Rutania has ever sought to disrupt our nation, through election fixing and espionage.
2- Long standing border disputes have meant that pure blooded Beluzians have been held against their will by the Rutanian Government.
3- The scars of war are still present on the border region, the enemy persued a policy of "scorched earth" as a result, much of the land is completely desert. Farmers cannot cultivate the region, and all trees were cut down.
4- The Rutanians have been found to plunder the ship wrecks of the Beluzian nation which lie in international waters. We mutually accepted that these sites were to be considered "war graves". The dead must be avenged.
For these reasons I request, nay demand that Parliament allow us to get justice for Beluzia!
This Declaration is subject to change under the advice of the Prime Minister or President of Beluzia. |

From | Neo-Epicurean Party | To | Debating the Declaration of War | Message | We in Rutania don't know what you're talking about. No one alive today in Rutania has ever held any hostility towards your country. And Delvar has been Rutanian for centuries. Everyone living there is Rutanian, as were their parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great great grandparents, great great great grandparents... well, you get the idea. |

From | People's Populist Party - Zogist Mafia | To | Debating the Declaration of War | Message | ooc: c'mon, we have to do something to make things more fun! If this were a realistic game we'd be embroiled in a civil war right now, and my PPP secretary of defense would have invaded Rutania and conquered Artania almost 500yrs ago! |

From | Beluzian Workers Party | To | Debating the Declaration of War | Message | Or been outlawed as a political party during a foreign occupation, after everything in the country larger than a refrigerator was destroyed in a massive aerial bombardment campaign.
You know, either-or. |

From | People's Populist Party - Zogist Mafia | To | Debating the Declaration of War | Message | ooc: The thesis to the PPP is that we are a coalition party of mafia, headhunters and pirates who have agreed to live in bunkers and focus our efforts on experimental weapons and psychological techniques. I really don't see how a bombardment campaign would hurt us any. |

From | Beluzian Workers Party | To | Debating the Declaration of War | Message | ooc: Cuba never faced a general air attack by the US or UK - if the gross tonnage that was dropped on Vietnam was dropped on Cuba, it would probably resemble the moon's surface |
