Bill: Launching the People's War

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Beluzia and Bailon

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2525

Description[?]:

The Red Army of the Communist Party of Beluzia and Bailon officially declares war against the United Kingdom of Beluzia and Bailon. The people's representatives in Parliament will remain, to look for a peaceful resolution. We officially break with the Marxist-Liberal Coalition, because it will not liberate the people. We recognize the USCRA and PDSP as our ideological brothers and comrades in the war. We invite all workers, students, farmers, and intellectuals to join our just cause. War is being declared for the following reasons:
I. Pig Zog is the Prime Minister.
II. The capitalist class exploits our people and is tied to the government.
III. Parliament no longer represents the will of the people.
IV. The Marxist-Liberal Coalition was full of bourgeois opportunists. Liberalism will exploit the people as long as it exists with capitalism.
V. Electoral politics alone will not liberate the people.

Hasta la victoria siempre!

The war will end if this bill is passed or defeated.

MessageWait, you would actually vote yes for this bill if we removed Pig from Pig Zog? This seems like a fair compromise, but it's too bad Pig Zog represents the landed aristocracy and rural exploiters.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers." - Ralph Nader
