| Volunteerism in this nation is decreasing in some area's. Therefore having a Fire Department that is based on volunteers only is absurd. Volunteers are worth more than this, they are an asset to our Nation, however we must stop relying on volunteers to move forward. The National Conservative Party has looked at this growing issue with some thought. Local Governments by rights should be looking after this issue - however some cannot be trusted. A common sense solution is to boost jobs, to boost response times, and therefore saving more lives and that is for the Federal Government to subcontract this service to Private Companies. By subcontracting to multiple companies boosts competition, increases response times and again as mentioned previously will save lives. |
